THE BOYS ARE DOING GOOD AGAIN

LETS HOPE THEY CAN GO ALL THE WAY

Thierry Henry represents the future of football. Although he is a relative unknown in mainstream North America, he has captured the imagination of millions of soccer fans worldwide with his aggressive and fluid style of play. As a young star in France, his reputation for flash on the field haunted him as the apparition of substance took time to manifest. The naïve and untested youth required seasoning in order to bloom and he received it during his tenure with Monaco in the top professional league in France.

It was during the World Cup of 1998 in his native France however, that Henry served notice to the world that he was a superstar in the making. His rapid strikes and dazzling display of dribbling technique soon won him an international following. Subsequent to the triumphant performance of France, Henry led the nation to victory in 2000, in the European Championship. Now a star center forward for Arsenal in the Premiership of England, Henry has cemented his status as a legend in the making.

" HOSFORD WORLD "

Hello, my name is vernard, i have built this website for my friends and family to take a peek at life with us.

If you take a tour you will find out all about the Hosford family in Wales, as far as we know there are not too many around.  My father ( who was Irish ) originated from near Dublin ( Bray ) My mother was welsh and was from the upper reaches of the swansea valley. Sadly, both have now passed away.

I know we have relatives in the USA & Canada. My father left his native land 60 years ago.

My mother was Welsh and had been in her native land all her life, I have 4 brothers and two sisters: Kevin, Eamonn, Leon, Neil, Jackie & Mandy.  I left Wales in the 70's and made my home in England.

I have travelled extensively around most of the world, including Africa, Middle East and the far east all my life, but finally, settled down in the North of England. I love to travel and explore.

We all originate from a small village  ( Ynyswen ) in the upper reaches of the Swansea valley.  It is very close to the famous Dan - yr  - Ogof  Cave System which attracts many thousands of tourists each year.  The valley used to be a prosperous coal mining area but now all we have is a very small manufacturing base and some tourism.

My father came over from the Dublin area and met my mother  ( nee Lewis )  All my brothers and one sister ( Mandy ) still reside in the Swansea valley, Jackie now resides in Los Angeles, USA.

There are many Hosford's registered in the Uk but I am not sure if we are related or not, in Wales, as far as I know we are the only family.

My Family:

Dervane Gerrard Hosford ( Father ) Paddy - Deceased January 2006

Well the new season is almost upon us, what does it hold i wonder, more success or simple misery.

Just two games into the 2003 season and we do look good, today's game at the Riverside was a total display of finesse and pure class, now 4 games gone and we have 12 points, can't be bad, our best start since the 1948. Still unbeaten but with some poor results from poor officials.

The Battle Of Old Trafford

This was a disgrace, the whole team should have been reprimanded for their actions, we must try and maintain an equal footing so as to not impose violance on to the young people watching this fine game.
